If the babies are sealed inside, the mother on the outside will tear your roof or siding apart in a frenzy to get back to them. Eviction must happen *before* the final seal.

Why can't you trap it and take it to the forest?

Under Ontario’s Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act, it is illegal to relocate a wild animal further than 1km from where it was trapped. Relocating animals further away usually results in them starving to death, being killed by territorial rivals, or spreading disease. Our one-way door method allows them to leave safely and relocate to one of their secondary outdoor dens nearby.
